Clowns Entertaining Goats?

"A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats."

The above words are often attributed to C.H. Spurgeon, yet I have searched for the place where he said or wrote these words and have not found them. Each one who quotes these words never gives the source and they all seem to be citing each other. Nevertheless, I am not questioning whether he said these words, just observing this fact. Anyone know where the original source is to be found?

Nevertheless the words are in the spirit of Spurgeon and I, like many others, believe that this characterises our day as never before.

We have many charlatan preachers who are all in it for the money and for the praise of men.
