Hardshell Conspiracy?

After years of research into the history of the "Primitive" or "Old School" ("Hardshell") Baptist denomination, especially the first generation of the denomination, I am almost fully convinced that a kind of "conspiracy" was at work to bring about the division within the Baptist family in the early 1800's. When one looks at the leaders of the anti-mission movement and at the collusion and correspondence between them, this becomes evident. More to come, the Lord willing.
