Pat Donahue vs. Stephen Garrett
"The Bible teaches that a truly born again Christian may sin so as to be lost."
Affirm: Pat Donahue
Deny: Stephen Garrett
(Note: For the second session we reversed the proposition where I was in the affirmative and Pat was in the negative)
"The Bible teaches that election is conditional" (or something similar to that - essentially he was denying unconditional election, though in the affirmative).
Both these debates are on Pat's web site, the first being listed under "once saved always saved" and the other under "unconditional election."
I think all these debates are well worth listening to.

I didn't know about the other debates. Thanks for posting those. I'd like to see what the men have to say.
Dear Kent:
Thanks for visiting and commenting.
As you may have noticed, I fully endorsed your views on Romans 10 and posted some excerpts in the entry titled "Confession Unto Salvation."
I think Dr. Mitchell and Dr. Raines did very well in their debates with Reeves (with whom I am now in correspondence about a possible debate).
However, Gene Cook did not do so well. His arguing for "regeneration before faith," and for other errors of the Hyper Calvinists, got him into trouble and contradiction.
God bless,
Stephen
Although Larry Hafley's demeanor is less than pleasant, it seems to me that he destroyed Ross's arguments on faith only. Maybe because he was a young and inexperienced debater?
