I believe as the historic confessions state, that Lord God is "without body, parts, or passions (emotions)."
I think it tragic that, in conjunction with an acceptance of "Process Theology," or "Open Theism," there is a growing denial that God is without emotion, believing rather that God is "just like one of us," compassed with emotions and fluctuating between states of "anger" and "love."
The "transcendence" and complete "otherness" of God, his supreme uniqueness, is being lost sight of. Lord God has now become "comprehensible" and an object of "investigation" as any other area of science or knowledge.
God said to the ancient theologian in his musings - "...thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee..." (Psalm 50: 21 KJV)
Such is the error of today's modernist theologians.
I hope to post some writings on this topic in the future. It is very important that we have right conceptions of the Deity if we are to serve and worship him in a pleasing manner.
